This is my amp building debut... well the first one that made it alive off the breadboard anyway ;) ;D
Completed from scratch in 1.1 days with a full compliment of spare parts and ~~obsessive behaviour~~ patience from my family

It stands up

LM386 N3 running on 9V = 1/2 a watt pure rawking power into 8 Ohms 8)
Destined for the workbench as a tester/mp3 player

Thanks guys... its pretty cute and has the lovely open back cab sound like an old radio

Oh man yes! I've had the amp building bug for a couple years... but financial constraints have really been kicking my butt. Hoping to start my tube amp collection with a AX84 project... soonish... (and then an 18w...5E3...TC15... ;D)

Actually after a the first day's playing... I found the tayda speaker disappointing :(
That mylar cone breaks up with a horrible cracking sound...

But then I found these NOS philips 'Super Loud's for $1! ;D

Lolz! Yeah I'm already reading up for the next teeny project... seeing as have a couple of 12AU7s lying around... might do a hybrid amp for shits and gigs :)

1x4 extension cab!! SUPER LOUD!
old speakers are strange- I had a 1980 Camaro w t-tops and the old ass paper speakers that were in it sounded WAY better than the new fancy Alpines I replaced them with. Those Alpines sucked farts and burped sadness.
