Title: rangemater caps
Post by: PimpMyTone on September 23, 2012, 08:43:45 AM
Hi everybody !
I have some question about rangemater caps.

1 - I think 5n cap is too trebbly for me. Can i swap it with a 10 n without loosing too much the character of the pedal .

2 - i hve a 22n for the mid boost and i think it s too bassy .

What you think if i put 1o n and a 6.8n for the mid boost ?

Thanks ! any suggestion would be aprceciated

My suggestion is... solder some sockets into the positions you are unsure of and then you can try different combinations of Caps as you see fit.

Get one of these (http://www.taydaelectronics.com/connectors-sockets/sockets/sip-sockets/30-pin-dip-sip-ic-sockets-adaptor-solder-type.html) are cut it up to use for indiviual sockets
