Title: Chunk Chunk J201 lead spacing
Post by: ruffnick99 on September 28, 2012, 05:22:32 PM
I am building a chunk chunk pedal with the newest 2012 board.  This is only my second build and my first build with transistors so bare with me if I am asking a stupid question.  I ordered some j201's from Tayda Electronics and I noticed that lead spacing doesn't quite line up with the board.  Did I order the wrong part?  Am I suppose to use a socket? I could fit in it if I bend the outer leads out just a little but then the transistor wont fit all the way down in the board.

Bend the leads, transistors don't ever really fit flush.

Use a socket if you want though, still gunna have to bend the leads a bit.
