Hi guys, here's the link to CJ's Game of Tones pcb. Alot of people over here have bought some from me so i tought i could share it here instead of replying to a ton of private messages.

Some more informations and tweaks to what is already mentionned in the doc:
You can use any dual op-amp, they will all sound good, but i strongly recommend some Burr Brown, does a really nice job in this circuit, 4558 and 4580 also gave me really interesting results.
For the clipping switch, you can use a On/Off/On SPDT switch so you have LED/Lifted/Diodes options.
Note that in the Diode position you will have a significant drop of overall output but a real nice compressed Drive/Stortion sound, i recommend socketing these position so you can experiment.
Enjoy!
Rej
Just finished building a couple Rej, put a 4559 with 1N34As in the low gain setup and a 4580 with 1N914s in the high gain, nice combo.

Nice! 8)
Have you made it Low Gain into High Gain or the opposite?
Sure is a nice combo, you've got a KOT killer right there ;)
Low Gain into high gain, was going to put in a switch to reverse, but eight pots, four switches and two LEDs is really the limit for me in clean builds inside a BB.
Of note, I put the 500k in the high gain, it's a little much and definitely loses some definition, next time I build a high gain I'd probably put a 250k in (built a KOK like that and I love it).
If you've got any more boards, I'll take four more. Got a couple other combo pedals I'd slap them in.
Thanks, Rej! Is there a schematic available, or can I safely assume that this is the same circuit as other popular Bluesbreaker derivatives? ;) I've already built an Aristocrat (to specs) and would like to breadboard this one first.
I've got plenty of pcb left from this groupbuy, i ended getting much more than what i was suppose too ;)
Here's the Zip File containing all the info needed.

Thanks for posting this! Just got my PCB's the other day and am stoked!

Great! Glad to hear they're slowly finding their homes! :)
Grind,
I built the Aristocrat some time ago & wasn't impressed. I have a GGG Its-8 that I like, but I'm looking for something that I LOVE! Do you think I could get a pretty good tube screamer killer out of this project?

Hi B, i personnaly think that this OD is alot more flexible than a TS, it's a great sounding OD by itself and works really nice in front of a gainy tube head, also works really great with other dirt pedals.
I could'nt compare with the Aristocrat because i never tried one, but this circuit now holds a good place in my favorite OD's
In my opinion it worth the try, maybe other could chime in.
Thanks
Rej
Hey, Grindy, I got the boards in the mail. Thanks for posting the docs here ... I don't spend much time over on BYOC. :)

Awesome! have a happy building ;)
Grind,
Do you still have any of these pcb's? I'd be interested in giving it a go if you do!

PM'd ;)
Sorry to revive this zombie thread, but the link to the Doc's is no longer available. I've got one almost built up, but need to know what the pot values are. Thanks!
Grindcustoms.com. Is that the same board you have?

Grind,
I think the issue is a missing build doc... Can you help him out?
Pretty sure the build doc is exactly the same for both, so the one on Rej's site will work fine.
I tried looking on his site - THe goat is a Blues Breaker board - but I couldn't find a KOT board... Perhaps I'm overlooking?

KOT = Bluesbreaker X2
It's the same pcb layout.. just some part number that have changed i believe... use pcb image as reference.
And yes they are modified BBOD, like Forrest said you'll need 2 in order to make a KOT.
I thought I remembered reading somewhere that you had stacked opamps, different diodes, and a different gain pot or something for the higher gain side
Perhaps my madness has finally taken over?
No, I built mine up with different opamps (not stacked) and different diodes and pots, so you are correct, but that was just my own take off of Rej's boards. But the core BOM is the same.

Yep, on the forums and grind customs, Rej makes some suggestions on how to do it. I stacked them on one side, sounds pretty mean.
Don't know if it's written somewhere, but i also use C250K for the HighGain side that i usually put in front of the LowerGain one, it's stacks better to me.
