Title: Kingslayer switch popping
Post by: fish22 on October 08, 2012, 01:42:06 PM
Hey guys,
I finished my Kingslayer yesterday and it sounds great,  but I'm getting a really loud pop when bypassing and engaging the pedal. I did the buffered version so I'm not really sure how to address the issue....
Thanks!!!

Did you install the resistors on the switch per the wiring diagram? What type of LED did you use and what value of resistor for it?

Yes I did install the 68K and 100K resistors on the switch and wired as shown in the diagram.
I used a blue 5mm LED and I dont recall the resistor value. I ordered alot of LEDs and LED resistors awhile back. I just grab a pair out of the bag now.
What value do you recommend ?

I would first try disconnecting the LED from the switch and see if the pop goes away. If so, try a different LED. 4k7-10k is fine for the resistor.
