Title: PT2399 Re-verb?
Post by: Pvt. Parts on October 23, 2012, 05:45:00 AM
I want a re-verb SO BAD, but cant get some parts here in Mexico, But seeing the PT2399 datasheet I found it has a application echo sample diagram; My question: Is this some kind of re-verb?

That schematic is pretty much the basis for about %90 of the PT2399 based DIY and production delays out there. If put in series with short delay times, I believe it can give you what approximates a spring reverb.

Are you sure you can't get parts for your own Reverb? Smallbear sells the popular Belton Reverb Bricks, and 1776 Effects (which have their forum hosted here, and are run by another member, GTR2) have a great, small format, DIY reverb project. Both Smallbear and 1776 will deliver to Mexico, I'm sure.

Check DIY Stompboxes, there's 2 PT2399 based reverbs I can think of, the sewer pipes and merlin Bs one (was it his equinox?).

Highly recommend Josh's Rub-a-Dub, it really is most excellent.

What parts can't you get? I'm sure we could sort out getting them to you one way or another, there's not a massive amount to it parts-wise.

Yeah, I can always put together a few parts as well if you need them.  I've done it before ;)

I cant get the most essential part the reverb tank (or BTDR-2H)
