Title: black friday printers
Post by: eniacmike on November 26, 2010, 07:58:56 AM
I am hoping to pick up a laser printer for etching/decals tomorrow.

I saw staples has the brother hl-2240 laser printer for 49.98 it's black and white. I saw it was recommend over at fsb.org so I think I am going to do it.

I kind of want to get a color laser for decals but I don't know if they will do as good a job as dedicated black and white printer.

also guitar center has guitar stands 2 for $10 tomorrow... well today actually it's 2 am.

I have a Brother laser printer and it's awesome.  Never used it for decal printing, though, so I'm not sure how it would do with that.

I use lazertran waterslide decal paper it is made for lazerprinters. it works really well with the lexmark printers at my work, but I had trouble with it on my moms epson, and it destroyed a canon fierycolor at kinkos.

I'm using a Samsung ML-2525 with great results for PCB transfers.

I ended up getting the brother hl-2240. it worked great for a decal and a pcb transfer.

I also got 50 9v batteries for $40 at lowes, and spray paint/model paint/paint markers for 25% off at michaels.

I am really excited about the printer because now I can do everything at home.
