I'm working on my second Pork Barrel build, and have two questions.
1) On the current layout, there are some small plated holes beneath ICs 1, 2, and 3, capacitor 6, and resistor 10. What are these for?
2) For the first time in over a decade of ordering, Mouser sent me the wrong part when I received a 402k resistor instead of a 33ohm. I already have some 27ohm resistors; would using one of these for R40 be OK?
The small plated holes are via's, if I understand correctly. Mad Bean boards have traces on both top and bottom, and the vias connect the two layers where appropriate. They aren't there for component insertion, they're there to link top and bottom traces.
27R is fine for R40. Even 100R. Its purpose is to provide separation between the 9v and the VD supply.
Thanks for the info, guys; much appreciated. :)
