Title: Help wanted!
Post by: DutchMF on October 28, 2012, 07:00:30 PM
I want to give both breadboarding and perf/vero a try, to give the learning curve a boost upwards, and will be ordering from both Smallbear and Banzai in the near future, any advice on what to get? Thanks in advance!

(parts for) Bazz Fuss? Thunderpuss? Something simple I would guess? I have yet to try my breadboard out, let us know how it goes! Also, with a really simple circuit you could try to do it from the schematic alone without a layout!

On breadboarding.

I just grew out of my smaller "one-row" (or what you call it..) breadboard, and orderred this "three-rows", will be enough for a while i guess:

...so hint will be: Dont buy too small. Or maybe you allready had a board?

These - or similar - are essential:

Then there are ways to setup a testrig with in-outs and a separate aluminium breakoutbox with 3pdt switch and all... i find that a bit overkill. I run my breadboard on battery, and have super-glued some plastic 6.3mm jacks direct to the boards bottomplate.
