Title: Taming a Kingslayer's volume
Post by: Munkybot on December 07, 2012, 06:12:55 AM
I just finished the Kingslayer, and its fantastic, but I find unity gain at between  7 and 8  o'clock and have 95% of the rest of the pots sweep unused.    It's just too loud too quick. Does anyone know how to change this? Would changing from a linear taper to a audio taper help, orki changing the pots value be better.

Yes, changing from a linear to log/audio taper pot will help a bunch.

Just finished Kingslayer and it is. Crazy loud!! With all pots at 7 o'clock is still in bareable. And it controls volume even when not engaged. By the way I went buffered. Also I set my red 3 mm diodes into face of pedal display so I could watch them work. They only light while motor boating. Please help I'm in love with this thing and it's totally killing me. Thx
