Title: 1n34a transistor from mammoth
Post by: Stig on December 19, 2012, 09:37:42 PM
Hi all.
When I did my last mammoth order I bought me some 1n34a diodes.
Problem is I did not get any diodes as you normally see them. I got some transistors labeled .2N 4403 120.
I know there are some tricks to be done with trannies so they can be used as a diode. But have you experienced something like this before when ordering from mammoth?
I tried to google the .2N 4403 120 transistors and did not really find anything that links to the use of them as a diode. Do you know any tricks regarding these?
Could be a wrongie from mammoth I suppose.

Probably a mix up on their part. Hit them up via email...they are quick to respond and correct goofs.

I think they must be 2n4403 which are general purpose PNP transistors. I would let them know they sent the wrong thing!

It wouldn't be a real Mammoth order without at least one mix-up.  ;D
