Title: Importing Font's
Post by: hoodoo on December 30, 2012, 01:35:43 AM
G'day to all, Matt here. Just a question in regards to importing fonts for use with inkscape, basically, how do you do it.
I've looked at various font sites that people have recommended but can't figure out how to import them.
Do you need to do it on a word document and then import the file or is there some way to download it so the font you want is in the inkscape sidebar. Any advice appreciated,
thanks, Matt.

I'm on a mac, but i just install the font as normal, then restart inkscape, and presto, it just comes up in the drop down menu

Same goes for Windows. Just install the font & restart Inkscape.

Os x has a built in font manager too. I use fontexplorer to manage my fonts. It allows you to auto load fonts when certain programs start. So instead of having thousands of fonts in ms word they only load in my design programs.
