Title: General Troubleshooting: Low Volume
Post by: mshuptar on December 30, 2012, 11:21:25 PM
Hi everybody, currently in the process of troubleshooting a Cherrybomb / Colorsound Overdriver. This is my second build.  When I engage the effect, there is a significant volume drop - I have to crank my amp to even hear the effect. What might be causing this problem? Thanks in advance for the help.

Chances are high some of your parts may be the wrong value. For instance, putting a 100k resistor in place of a 100r resistor would do what your describing in some circuits.

Thanks for the response. Upon further review, I discovered that one of the leads from the "volume" pot wasn't making a good connection - problem solved!

Good stuff! Follow the debugging steps, and you'll always find the issue!
