Title: road rage question
Post by: Bman40 on January 12, 2013, 06:13:32 PM
I am confused by the road rage instructions.  ???

I am building the Mangler Fuzz and all i need is the voltage inverter.

I bought a LT1054CP ici for it.  will that do for the inversion function, or do I need the TC1044SCPA for that?

thanks guys.

Check page 3 & 4 of the RoadRage docs. You can use the LT1054, but you must make sure pin 1 does not connect to the board!! The docs give you two ways of doing this. On page 4, the last diagram shows what parts to mount to use just the voltage inverter.

Can I ask another question on this same topic?  If I don't care to use the sag trimmer on the Road Rage, can I just ignore it and leave it out?  That would leave me with C3, C4, C5, D3, D4 and IC1 if I'm not mistaken.

Yep.  You can ignore the trimmer and your parts list is correct for -9V.
