Title: Loophole problems
Post by: badgerific on February 04, 2013, 07:58:04 PM
Hey there, I've built (and re-built) my loophole pcb and I'm having some problems. When I hit the record switch both the LEDs come on, not just the red one. This leads me to believe I have  a problem in the switching part of my board. I've used a HCF4001BE for the 4001 IC. Is that my problem or do I have to look elsewhere?

Is it recording and playing back?

On mine both leds come on when recording. I think its supposed to do that.

It's not playing back, not 100% if it's recording. When put into playback mode the dry signal gets cut, which strikes me as odd.

I tried a CD4001BE for the 4001. Still having the same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions to where the best place to look for problems is? I've gone over the board a bunch of times to check for obvious errors and I can't find anything.

I think that the error on the 4001 is that they are not usually 4001 (NORS), they are 4011 (NANDS) IC.
I´m going to build it with the 4011 IC because in the SCH are NANDs and not NORs.
