Title: pastyface wiring problem
Post by: buckle on February 21, 2013, 05:12:37 AM
so I think I screwed up the wiring for power on the pastyface prefab board. I used the standard wiring diagram so I have the red lead from the power jack going to the square 9V pad on the middle of the board. the black battery lead is going to the input jack. I'm pretty sure this is wrong... Help? I think I did not wiring for the positive polarity. Can I just switch the battery leads from their current locations? Also do I need to use the also, do I need to reverse the connection to the led?

if you have a 3 connection DC jack, make sure you're not using the switched terminal. it's connected only when the jack has nothing plugged in. assuming negative ground, the +9 un-switched lug (typically the "center" lug) should be connect the +9v pad which should be square.
