Title: 1/4 watt instead of 1/8 watt question
Post by: danwelsh on February 22, 2013, 05:14:37 PM
Hi. Just wondering if its necessary to use 1/8 watt resistors for baby board builds? I messed up and ordered 1/4 watt instead..... order was shipped as soon as i realized i ordered the wrong ones.

Well yes they'll probably work, but you'll have to put a hairpin bend in one of the leads & solder them in standing up, if you know what I mean.

Yes, they'll work fine, I've used them in all of my baby board builds, but I also don't put them in 1590As.  You might have a little bit of a tight squeeze, may want to leave some play in the legs.
