Title: Is A Battery Cutoff Switch As Easy...
Post by: frankie5fingers on February 27, 2013, 11:25:44 PM
... as simply wiring an on/off into the pos lead of the battery wire?  I want to fix it so I don't have to unplug the cable to save the battery.
Thanks

That will definitely work.

You could also use the switch in a push-pull pot to save some space.

I found pots in a surplus store one time that had little leaf switches built into the back so when the pot was turned all the way down the switch would open. I think Analogman uses something like this to disengage the battery; could be a cool idea.

EDIT: Found them:

They cost about two bucks.
