Hey Guys, here be my 'Six Shooter Booster' that I builted!
NPN Rangemaster with Input cap blend ;)
Really pleased with this build (I'm quite fond of the PCB layout too).
Tranny is a TI 2N1302. May not be an OC44 etc. but it had low leakage, high Hfe, is NPN, sounds good, so in it went!
It sounds glorious running into amps at high volume.
The Catalinbread DLS also frickin loves Treble boosters, if you own one (or have built one) I recommend trying it out!

Looks very nice and very Rauldukian in style. :-)
Your board layouts are very tight. You are getting this down.
Very nice!
What value do you use for your blend cap pot, a 500K or 100K?
Germanium booster... Simple circuits... But with a freaking sound!
Still love my rangemaster... And I had the luck of finding a oc44 just for 0.60€ ;D
Lately I see people using this leds with no bezel
Are they Ok? Where did you get it?
Thanks guys.
I've found a style so I'm sticking with it ;)
The blend pot is 100K. I've been mostly setting it halfway.
The LED is a lense/bezel mate; a fresnel lense.
I buy mine from Farnell (UK), but you should be able to get them all over.
I'm certain there are loads of links on this forum (just search fresnel lense).
I don't know why I never get tired of seeing and building Rangemaster circuits.
Beauty!

Looks awesome! I've never had an OC44, but for my money I've liked the TI 2n13__ types of trannies anywhere I've tried them. So far I've done a Cosmo and a Keeley Fuzzhead-type; next up is a hybrid Fuzz Face!
Here in the states, I've only found the Fresnel lenses at Mouser, but maybe others know more...
I like your artwork. it looks vintage! Are you using waterslide decals or something else?
Awesome work! Great pictures too!
Thanks guys!

Clear Matt Polycarbonate labels mate. They get a few coats of (enamel) clear lacquer and kind of 'meld' to the enclosure.
