Title: Rump Roast switch?
Post by: MattL on December 27, 2010, 09:39:08 PM
What does the switch on the Rump Roast do? Not the one in the hybrid, but the one that's present in all three builds?

It switches between two ranges for the tone control.

Hey, all. Quick question about the tone pot. It seems when the tone pot is 98 - 100% (clockwise) the pedal goes all 'blanket-over-the-amp.' The remaining rotation of the tone pot (switch in either position) works as expected.

Bum potentiometer?

It should get dark, but not muted. C7 could be a culprit.

Dark might be a better description. But it gets REAL dark. Can you explain what the full rotation of the tone pot is doing electronically? Is it putting the tone section of the circuit to ground? I completely just made that last part up...

I'll check out the cap tonight, thanks, brian!
