I am working on the Lowrider and Thunderpuss and I am getting confused by the resistor notation 2k7, 5k6 etc.

I'm sure this question has been asked before, but any help? Thanks!

2.7k ohms
5.6k ohms

2k7=2.7 k ohm
5k6-5.6 k ohm
etc

same would go for m ohms, such as 2m2= 2.2m ohms

if a resistor just says R after it like 47R, that's just 47 ohms
