Title: Mini-muff mids pot value?
Post by: octa805 on April 07, 2013, 12:29:47 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm building one of the mini-muff boards (http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=8115.0) to 71 triangle specs.

I want to use the mids pot but don't see a pot value in the build doc. What's the appropriate value here?

Thanks!

The most common value for the mid pot seems to be 25kB.  When I made my first Violet Ram's Head on the 1st gen Mudbunny board, I didn't find that the midpot did much with the stock values.  After a bit of research, I change the following components and it worked much better:

R18   39k     -->   1k5
R19   39k   -->   47k
C10   4nF   -->   22nF
C11   10nF   -->   5.6nF

I would try it stock first to see how it works for you.  If it doesn't have enough effect, you may want to try some of the above changes.
