Hi
Anyone tried the ldr from tayda?
I saw on tayda that they have the l7815 and by the specs it's the same of the lm7815
Anyone confirm?
Another question. Can a expression pedal be used on this project? Mod?
I found that most of that pedals uses a 100k pot. Same value as the int knob of this project
haven't tried the ldrs, but http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=8912.0
For lamp and LDR's : http://www.banzaimusic.com/Univibe-Upgrade-Kit.html (http://www.banzaimusic.com/Univibe-Upgrade-Kit.html)
I used them on Jacob Kokura's Univibe clone and they work very good!

Glad to hear, as they're what I've picked up for my Harbinger :D
Uau
I see that kit comes with a bulb.... Can we use that bulb as well?
Yup, it might not be "The Original" but that kit works really well!

Ok
That's nice because the shipcost from small bear is a little bit more than from banzai
And maybe the fact that the ldr are matched helps on improving the sound
And what about the possibility of making an mod to plug a expression pedal?
As detailed in the link above, if it's the speed you want to control it's a dual-ganged pot so the answer is no. If you want to control the volume or intensity with an expression pedal you may still have hope,
Well technically you could with a DIN cable, the trickier bit would be if you want to switch between a pedal and a pot. You'd need a 6pdt or 2 3pdts which is somewhat less elegant.

Or you can replace one side of the speed pot with a 15K.
It won't have as much range, but sometimes you need to make do ...
