Title: Low Rider
Post by: lljoepj10 on April 19, 2013, 01:25:27 PM
Hi There

Since I am new to Madbeanpedals.com , i wanted to ask you question about the Lowrider pedal.
http://www.madbeanpedals.com/projects/LowRider/docs/LowRider.pdf
I've ordered the PCB , but i noticed the R55 is a 160 K resistance.

I could only order 150 K or 180 K .
My question is :

what posibility is better ?

-150 K
-180 K
or to couple a 150K and 10K ???

Sorry for the bad english btw :P

I think the 150k would be ok, there are some mods that lower the value of this resistor but you could socket it and change it later if you need to.

150k will work just fine, this will very slightly increase the maximum volume of the 1 octave down sound. it will still be fully controllable by the pot.

You could always use a 150 and stand it up in a "teepee" with a 10K and be right on the money.

You can try a 150K + a 25K/50K trimpot... ;)
