In before someone tells you to just socket and try different ones.

I knew that was coming, I only ask because I have some oa126 on the way and I want to build something to put them in. Only wondering if anyone had tried it or had an educated guess.
Anyway, I don't like sockets- they ugly  ;)

Ive never built a glitteratti but I like them in overdrives in general, and it calls for a silicon diode, so it should work well. But socket it. I tend to like an OA126 with another regular fv ge diode on the other side for asymmetrical clipping in overdrives in general.

Don't ever say 'sockets are ugly' again! They are Gods gift to indecisive people like DIY-pedal-builders!!!

I dunno, the way that transistors and diodes with thin leads fall out whenever you so much as look at them gets old, fast.

I've had a couple builds where I wound up just soldering the transistor into the bloody socket to make it stay.
