Title: C500k pot same as B500k
Post by: octa805 on May 06, 2013, 04:44:18 AM
Just backwards?

Is that really all there is to it?

No. A C500k is like a backwards A500K pot. B is linear, which has no curve, whereas C and A are logarithmic and have a curve.

Here is some pretty good info on pots. There is a graph if you scroll down that shows linear/log/reverse (anti)log and how they behave as you turn them clockwise.

Hey, thanks

I actually meant A500 and C500 since they share the same curve just inverse.

Simply put, I want to use an A500 for the effdub distortion that calls for a C500

Thanks again. Ill go read now!
