Are you asking because you're considering buying some?

NO transistor is worth $50, ever. I wouldn't say that any transistor is worth more than $15, and at that price it better be tested in-circuit and leakage below 100. In my humble opinion, of course, which is the correct one to have.

If you're selling it on e-bay, though, knock yourself out, man.

What Jon said. Of course, like anything, they're worth what folks will pay for them. I saw a guy selling NKT275's for $99/pair on EBay last week.

Is there something special about the yellow jackets? SmallBear still has the mil spec OC44's (CV7005) for under $10 and they sound fantastic.

i got some on a recent trade, figured i would build some rangemasters and test them out, was wondering if its worth selling or building.

i guess building :)
