Brian,
We are always glad to help a fellow solder jockey. But first, we will need complete build notes and some better photos of your build.
I am sure if we all put our heads together, we can help your troubleshoot your project.
;D
ooh Brian you big tease you ???
sweet, you invented a time machine? I could use one of those
:-*

hahahaha now that would be a pedal
Is the thread title/circuit name a Zero Wing reference?
Excitement is building........Eeeeeeeee (in the manliest way possible)
put me down for one.
One more clue coming. Maybe two. Or whatever.

All your base are belong to us! 8)
Sample and hold... ???
Somebody set up us the bomb!
Bean how can you do this to us? :'(
I just saw this thread and I can tell I'll be clicking that "show new replies to your posts" a LOT today....dang it Bean!! What is it?!
so mean... the circuit looks interesting big IC in there
Actually, I came up with another idea that may involve adding another big IC. It's either really clever or incredibly stupid. I'll have to put this whole thing on the breadboard now to figure out which is true :(
sweet! ;D
hmmn....that big chip in there wouldn't happen to be a pt2399, would it?
or an LM324N?
....actually I can't really tell how many pins there are...hmmn...
Looks to me like it has 14 pins...so definitely not a PT2399...a LM324N perhaps...
I'm going to put the "deluxe" idea on hold for the moment as it will take some time to flesh out. However, the basic effect is just about finished. Two more hints:
The two little boards can be plugged in to the main board.
One of the controls on the main board is called "shimmer".
(it's a 16 pin IC)
yay reverb?
I can't wait.
Also, I like reverb, so that's what I'm hoping for.
Also again, the Zero Point makes me think of stargate atlantis, which makes me think awesome. Cause now I can have my star wars echobase plugged into my stagate zeropoint. Also, we need a startrek pedal of some sort. Perhaps the phaser?
Jacob
I think we need a Kobayashi Maru project.

HECK YES!!!!!!!!!!!!Jacob
so he got it right? reverb?
yeah "deluxe" and "shimmer" seem to be leaning that way, methinks.
shimmer mode reverb? I GOT DIBS ON NO. 1!!!!!
I will buy a brickless reverb project sight unseen.......................
Echo base ?
real plate verb? hahah i wish
Not a reverb. Sorry :(
A reverb might plug into it though.
I'll stop teasing as soon as it's done...should be another day or so.
Hmmm...Now I'm really thinking this is a pitch shifter...shimmer effects? reverb plugging into it? :o That would be KILLER!
So....did I nail it or something? :P Seems like it got awfully quiet when I posted about the shimmer effect...don't play with my emotions Bean! :o Cause I've been wanting to do something like this for a while man! haha!
-Kaleb
No, I believe he mentioned it's an add on board to make any pedal turn into a DL-44 blaster like Hans Solo carries.
I don't think anyone guessed correctly. It's on the back burner for a couple more days...I've got too many orders to finish right now. But, it will get finished and soon!

Analog guitar synth project with modular add-ons!
(Although that should be called a Moogbean.) :P

Hahaha! ;D
Thats a genius name for a bean.
That picture makes me want to squint my eyes ;D
So now I'm thinking this is the Zero Point:
http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=1460.0
Seeing as how the poster on DIYSB was called "cloudscapes" and all...
J
blue sky like strymon? It's a reverb!
The...Sky's the limit? It's a limiter!
Zero Point...Is this the Vanishing Point somebody mentioned?
???
Ring mod? An amp in a box?
Ooh a looper!!
Isn't this the sequencer of the Ooh Wah thing that you've been working on? The one that can be connected up as a seq trem or seq wah or seq phaser etc etc?

Delay w/ effects loop to modulate the delay
deluxe memory man (I wish) ::)
I'm thinking a harmonizer of some sort. Based on the "Blue Sky" and shimmer clues. Probably wrong though...
Okay, I've dragged this out long enough....it's based off the MP Deep Blue but highly modified. Different input section with gain control, different feedback section that allows you to adjust the tone of the feedback (Shimmer). The two extra boards are plug-in modulation based on two different LFOs. These can also be used for other delays and some non-standard applications that will be coming in future projects.
Lastly, there might be one additional warble mod which I want to try out on the feedback path.
Also...I'm working on something that would let you sync the LFO to other effects...but that's a ways off.
You guys have vivid imaginations, though :).
ooo this is going to be sweet!!!! ;D
Any chance of a tap tempo input? :o
Since it's a PT2399 delay, it's likely the Taptation would be you best bet currently. I wish Decc would answer my emails about the Ptap.
Jacob
awesome.
Decc has left the building completely. Not sure why, but he took PTAP with him.
I'm grinnin' like an idiot right now! can't wait.

I was willing to buy it from him, like the circuit or whatever, I think there's still a market for it. I got Rob to email me back and forth for a while, but he doesn't respond anymore.
Jacob
That really blows. PTAP works well. It seems like they'd at least license the code.
