Title: King B: jack white bumble fuzz layout by Murdog47
Post by: TGP39 on September 07, 2014, 09:50:07 AM
Hi madbeaners....
Wanted to share this king B build. Pcb was purchased by murdog47.  He might have a few left. Since the Jack White pedal costs more than 3 bills and has zero controls, I thought this was a good cost savings. :)
Can anyone spot the huge error I made with this box?  Suggestions on a fix? All tranny's are 2n2222 by Motorola.  As usual, all constructive comments are most welcome. Thanks.

Top mounted jacks?

Is that trans yellow on a polished box?  Graphics are killer!

Yep. I thought I had room for top mounted jacks. Thought wrong. :)
This is a polished 125B that I lightly grinded just a bit with my dremel. Than a translucent yellow spray paint finish. Finally a clear water slide decal of the bee. It came out pretty good.

Headlights! Pop in some amp jewels or huge LED's it could look awesome.

EDIT: And, that is a gorgeous build. I really love the art.

Lee, That's a great idea. I'm going to try clear jewel lenses. I already have the internal led glowing. Thanks. :)

Looks great!

When i made the same miscalculation i found black nylon 3/8" "hole plugs" at mouser, perfect and they look like they were meant to be there the whole time.

Figure 'H'. Heyco is one brand, Mouser does have other as well.

Thank you Dave.  Who knew incorrect drilling would lead to so many choices. :) very much appreciated.
