All kidding aside, no. At this point, I think a lot of folks on TGP realize that they have been taken by boutique builders hiding things under black goop. I don't see any benefit in rubbing their noses in it. In fact, I think it could have a negative effect on the honest boutique builders that don't resort to shenanigans.

My plan is to make the goop the salient feature of the pedal. Along with about 3x more components than are necessary for the circuit, some dummy, some redundant. The values I've chosen are completely absurd. All value markings will be sanded or acetone'd off. The name of the circuit is HypeMachine!. With the exclamation mark. I already did the schematic. Just need to make a layout and acquire some goop. It includes a 'goop boost' switch, for more hype in your tone. The pedals will be sold for a reasonable price, with the understanding that the buyers will then list the pedal for insane amounts on eBay. At some point, I might secretly release some 'clones' of the circuit that are way off spec. Then I'll pop into threads to talk about how they're not accurate.

My 72' Custom did this back in the day! :'( I was able to fix it, and it's since been restored, but it still makes me sad...

I've only witnessed one Gibson headstock snap, unfortunately, it was a mint 61 SG (not a reissue, it was bought in 61 by my buddies grandpa who kept it in a case in the closet, eventually gave it to my buddy along with a mid 60s Princeton). If he'd only invested $15 in straplocks.....
