Title: Harbinger 1 dual pot fit
Post by: Jules on November 10, 2014, 11:46:30 AM
Hi All, I am not to far from boxing my Harbinger 1 but there is 1 thing I don't understand.
I have the Vol and Intensity pots PCB mounted and have a dual gang for the speed pot that seems to thick to fit.
In other words the PCB is quite close to the top of the enclosure with the PCB mounted pots and I can't work out how I am supposed to fit the dual gang in there as it is twice as fat as the other pots.
I do hope someone understands what I am talking about! :-\

Yes I do understand, but I didn't have the same problem with my Harbinger. Maybe you're using short board mounted pots? In any case, post a picture. Tip: use double sided, thick, tape used to hang mirrors to isolate the board from your casing of the dual gang pot.

Try and bend the top solder lugs of the pot flat, then it should fit. It's in the build doc on page 9, along with a picture.

OK I worked it out and feel like a bit of a tool, my dual gang pot was 24mm not 16mm.
Thanks for the help
