Title: Axis Fuzz Face Silicon
Post by: luks999 on November 11, 2014, 04:46:38 AM
Ive built this thing a while ago.
Its not a madbuild pcb, but i posted it, because maybe might be interested in that kind of circuit

its basically a silicon fuzz face with some mods (2 additonal pots and some caps added)
you can find the info here:
http://fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com/axisface.php

For this i used a musikding fuzzface pcb and soldered the additional parts via wire.
if you want i can post a pic from the inside :)

Thanks :)

haha, ok then here are the guts:

i know the enclosure is kinda huge for such a simple fuzz circuit. but i liked these kinda arrangment of the 4 pots back then.
you see some parts are standing off the pcb, that are the addional ones.
and because the footprint of the bc139 didnt fit, i used cables and sticked the transistor to the enclosure with a mounting pillar :D

the guts dont look nice, but i promise you, thats the best sounding fuzzface ive ever heard! (ive built some, one with NKT275)
it can get very smooth and nearly sound like an overdrive, but it can also get very harsh! :)
