Title: Where to find these knobs
Post by: PhiloB on January 06, 2015, 04:20:12 PM
Have a friend that 'loves' these knobs and wants them on a pedal.  Looks like they have a rounded top.  Anybody seen these around?  I've looked at SB, BLMS and pedal parts.

Looks like a Telecaster barrel knob somebody ground the top on, and painted the indicator by hand.  That white line doesn't look too straight on the left one, and the machining marks on the round-over look like grinding to me.

Hm, I guess you would want to drill the channel for the indicator first, then cut it so about half the indicator slot is showing, then round the top off.  Don't know if that's the process order, but I can't think of how else to cut that indicator slot cleanly.

Sounds like an expensive knob if they are all hand ground (time wise).  That was my take as well though Morganp.
