Title: BFC Clipping Control
Post by: chuckd666 on May 08, 2016, 12:38:27 AM
Hey everyone,

My first post here so hello :)

I just etched the BFC this afternoon and built it up. Everything is working well, though the action of the clipping control confuses me. It seems to only to send signal to the compressor when turned completely CCW. Otherwise the level is just below unity (ie not sending much signal to the comp circuit I think).

I'm just wondering what the reason for the change is on this schematic in relation to the Keeley 4 Knob, because it only has the 2 lugs of the pot connected and omits the 390k resistor in parallel with the 2n2 cap.

Cheers

Charles

I don't know if you are still there.  Did you ever get this pedal working properly.  I noticed the pin outs that go to nowhere on the pots.   On most guitar wiring they only use two.  The other goes to ground.  I wonder if that is the issue.

Anyone know if this has been verified?  This is the only post I could come up with in a search.  Mine's built up, just waiting on some 56k's from Australia
