Title: Mangler - Removing volume pot
Post by: cresconio on September 10, 2016, 02:13:33 AM
Hi there,

Recently build the mangler and I'm really digging it, although I'd like it to be a 1-knob pedal.
I'm not sure how to bypass the volume pot. Any thoughts on that?

Kind regards,
Cresconio

just jumper pads 3 and 2 of the pot pads and leave pin 1. That would give you maximum output all the time, which might be too loud. You can also put a resistor instead of the jumper, but you'd have to experiment to find the right value for your taste.
I would suggest to put an internal trim pot instead, so you can adjust it to a level you like and set and forget. You'll have to bend the legs and maybe add a bit of wire to fit it.

you're welcome. Just make sure to use a 500k trimpot too.
