Title: fatpants jr capacitor question
Post by: chris weaver on June 09, 2017, 07:07:11 PM
The BOM calls for a 1uf 25v cap for c12, the link takes you to a 1uf 50v cap. which is correct? also I don't have either of them, what is a suitable sustitution? I do have lots of 10uf 50v on hand.

The build doc is the minimum you should use.  A 50v is fine but the higher you go up the cap gets bigger and can cause problems with space (not so much with a 1uf).  As far as putting a 10 in there I'm not smart enough to answer that.  I'm sure it will alter the sound some.  You can get a cap from Arrow for next to nothing with free shipping.  If youre in the states pm' me your address and I will put one in an envelope and send it to you.
