Title: Voxy Brown wiring help please jubal81 design
Post by: idgit on October 01, 2018, 10:52:31 AM
after having no time to work on this project for a long time I recently drug it out and attempted to make it.  While the LEDs work there is no sound.  I believe it's in the wiring of the switches although I don't have to capacity to further work it out.  It's been in both my hands and a friends so it's tough for me to determine what the problem is.

I've uploaded a photo of the wiring which is clear to me but if it is not I will take another with better wire separation.

I used jubal81's packaged info in his project report  http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=8519.0

If anyone can give me some insight maybe I can get this pedal working and I would appreciate it very much.  If you can help but the images suck or you need any more info please don't hesitate to ask for me to clarify

thank you

do you have bypass sound?

if you think it's your wiring, please also consult madbeans tutorial about switch wiring here:

Do you have a multimeter to check voltages? If so, please make sure you get proper 9V to your board. Could be as easy as a falsly wired 9V jack, which I can't see from your photo

Hard to tell from the picture, but the first thing I notice is that it looks like you have it reversed, so the ins and outs are backwards.

My advice is to disattach all the wires from the enclosure and switches so you have a PCB with all the wires hanging from it.
double check the wiring in the box, like from jacks to switches, to make sure they match the diagram and using a multimeter to check continuity.

Once all that is right and you have a bypass signal, mount the PCB in the enclosure and then attach the PCB wires to the switches and DC jack.

yes on both replies, good ideas.  I'll go through it and see.  thanks

I do not have bypassed sound, though
