Last minute decision to put a Catalinbread RAH infront of the FV-1
Pre-Amp knob is just a DPDT rotary 2 position switch to turn the RAH on or off
I etched the RAH from effectslayouts
Display uses an Arduino nano, both fixed to an etched board
with a 16 position rotary switch to select 16 algorithms from 2 eprom's
Square hole was just drilled and filed, the trick is to open the hole with a file gradually
I.e. keep away from the edge until the last minute!
Paint is champagne metallic from Wilco U.K.
Text is plastisol screen printed
Both baked in an oven at 160c for 15 minutes
I made the FV-1 board in Eagle, it doesn't need the crystal if using the clock circuit and vice versa

I think i just jizzed my pants.... gimme 2 sec i'll go check !
Looks fantastic!
Did you cut the window rectangle yourself or get the boxed fabbed that way?
Wow, just wow. Love how the display shows you the name of the programm and tells you what the controls do.
fantastic build

He did it himself with a file. it's in the OP
I love this. Beautiful inside and out. I've been shying away from digital builds. You have just persuaded me to start learning. Thank you for consistently raising the bar on what a diy pedal can do. So inspiring.

Looks bad-ass! I'm going to dig through this project a bit. Thanks a lot for the share. You're a super-star :)
whoa...
thanks guys ;D some more info
I didn't share the algorithms because I didn't make them
I bought some from pedalpcb, the rest I found online

or you can make your own with spincad:

I bought a cheap ch341a usb programmer from eBay to write the code to the eprom's
using this software:
https://www.kazmielecom.com/2018/07/27/ch341a-usb-mini-programmer-software-free-download.html
and the spinasm assembler:
http://www.spinsemi.com/Products/software/spn1001-dev/SpinSetup_1_1_31.exe
its as easy as copy pasting the free code found on the spin forum into the spinasm assembler program,
then dragging the assembled hex file into the ch341a software for writing to the eprom

I have done that work before and it is NO FUN. great job.
Wow... looks so cool. Congrats, that's an impressive build, lovely finishing
