Title: About the new Slow Loris Ruetz mod
Post by: niiico on November 12, 2011, 01:56:47 PM
Hi,

the new slow loris is said to include the Ruetz mod (http://www.diyguitaramp.com/rat.html).

But when I look at the schema, I see that the 47R resistor (R4) has been kept.

In the Ruetz mod, the 47R is replaced by the 1KB pot.

Does this mean we can't go as low as with the original Ruetz Mod in the new slow loris?
And what about skiping R4?

You can always jumper that 47R if you like. There difference in leaving it in and jumpering it is pretty well insignificant. It's far less than the actual 20% tolerance range you find in the typical 16mm Alpha pot.
