Title: 2013 Kraken lost it's quackin
Post by: JohnL on November 19, 2020, 10:20:15 AM
So I built a Kraken, 2013 version some years ago and had a working pedal. It has been on the shelf for a couple years and now as I try it it does not want to work. The hi lo switch works and there is an effect on the signal just no quack. I am getting power. I checked for cold solder joints, reflowed a couple just in case, swapped ICs with others from my stash and nothing. Can someone tell me where the filter occurs and voltages for ICs and transistors?

You can use the voltage chart in the 2020 version as a guide for the 2013 version. The filter section happens between the emitter of of Q1 and the output of IC2B. The envelope section is everything starting at R9.
