Title: Slow Loris questions
Post by: Jyka on February 08, 2021, 09:13:14 AM
Hello

I m just gone a start a SlowLoris in few weeks, my first pedal, and I have some questions about this project.

1) I forgot to by the 3PDT bypass on madbean, can I buy thos one : https://www.musikding.de/3PDT-Buffer-pcb

2) How many LED i need for this project, they say 2 on the documentation, sow it's mean two drill for led on the enclosure ?

3 ) What is PCB Mount ? I m gone a build it in 1590BB to have enought build space, do i need wire if i'm not solder the pots on the pcb ?

1) I wouldn't buy that one, unless you like to have buffered bypass instead of true bypass. You could use this one: https://www.musikding.de/3PDT-Board-set-of-3 (https://www.musikding.de/3PDT-Board-set-of-3), though you would need to figure out what to attach where (and this one has a LED and LED resistor that are also on the PCB, so you need to choose which one to use).
2) Two LEDs for clipping and one as on/off indicator (not specified in the BOM). You could drill holes for the clipping LEDs (they might light up when you strum your guitar hard), but there's no need: they are for generating distortion.
3) Your choice: either buy PCB mount pots and solder them directly to the board, or 'regular' solder lug pots and wire them. This is DIY after all  8).

I would buy that and all the other ones cause that's what we do.
