Title: Two pedal circuits with one switch
Post by: Ritch on June 09, 2021, 04:09:01 AM
Hi, I'm new here, looking for a bit of help with switching.

Does anybody have a diagram for wiring a 3dpt switch to switch between two pedal circuits (two boards, each with their own in/out/9v/ground points).

I want it to have one 3pdt switch to switch between the two circuits, with no other bypass (one effect is always on) and two leds - for when either circuit is engaged.

Can't for the life of me find a good diagram!

Many thanks

You can do it with a 3PDT easily enough. I usually like to have the input to the circuit board grounded when the effect is bypassed. To do that you could use a 4PDT.
Grounding the input isn't always necessary but I figured it might be a helpful idea to see it both ways.

Very clever, I was thinking about just a flipper diagram, but one with an LED looks way cooler.

Thanks Drew,

That's awesome! I've just ordered a 4pdt so I'll do it that way as it looks best.

Will post the outcome.
