Title: soft touch switch for keyboardist?
Post by: B_of_H on October 02, 2010, 04:28:11 PM
anyone have any suggestions for building an effect for a keyboardist?  I specifically want to make it easier than a footswitch to turn on and off as he'll be using his hand.  I'd prefer true bypass as well.

fwiw, I think i'm going to put a fuzz (sabertooth) and aqua boy in a box for him but suggestions are appreciated.

you coulld use this ON/ON 6 pole switch for true bybass, minus the LED, but with this switch it's easy to know if the effect is on.
If you need absolutly Need a LED you can use a millenium bypass

yeah, I was looking at something like that.  I think i'd need it to be pretty big and was actually thinking of using a guitar pickup selector with the little rubber piece on it.

nice.

now my brain is finally starting to get going.

I think I could put that switch as an on/off then use a rotary or one of these 5 way switches:

to select between effects and combinations of effects.  Say delay, delay+tremolo, delay+fuzz+tremolo, tremolo, fuzz

i'm going to work up a diagram I think in the next week.
