So, I've decided to try my luck at etching a couple of boards and have been trying to figure something out. What determines whether or not I can use 1/8th watt resistors? I know its probably a voltage thing but I was looking at a couple of the baby board build docs and nothing stuck out and said "this is why". Any insight or advice would be cool. Thanks in advance guys!
P.S. Any reading recommendations would be cool too!

Hey guys, I am modding an MXR Dist+ and I can't seem to get the tone stack mod working properly. It is one of the newer models and every schematic I look up has different values for the capacitors. Any other cool mods would be welcomed as well. Thanks a million!

So, after ordering a few values from tayda I noticed that they were crap! Where do you guys get your ceramic caps from? Also tayda doesn't sell silver mica or 1/8th watt resistors, where do you get those?

Hey Guys,
     Looking for some help/advice. So I decided to build a zombie chorus...against my better judgement. I'm having some issues getting it going. I'm getting dry on and off but there is barely any modulation coming through. When I turn the rate pot there is an effect but not when it is stationary. I've tried 5 different MN3007 chips and 3 different CD4046BE chips too. I also put a new set of TL072 s in there. I also tried cutting a new strip board too. This thing is starting to drive me nuts. I did order a Pork Barrel and started populating it but i still want to get this going to. Here are the voltages and a picture of the layout I used.

     Kind of a newb and I have a few questions for you regarding parts sourcing. I've been using Tayda and Pedal Parts Plus for most stuff but I wanted to get some of your perspectives. I've noticed some of the parts I got form Tayda were junk and of lesser quality. I want to try and get away from using them but don't have a ton of money to throw around. Pedal Parts Plus I had no problems with they were just a bit expensive. So, here are some questions...

1. Who do you use for 3PDT and other switches?
2. Who do you use for passives, ICs,and transistors?
3. Who is the best quality with the lowest price?
4. Who gives the best hugs around here? (LOLZ just kidding)

Been building and modding for a year or so under a certain name. What should i do to keep the name? Do i trade mark it or copyright it? Do you guys do anything with your company name? Kinda new to this stuff. Thanks for the help guys, you rock! Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!

     I recently received some MN3007 chips from the Bay. I am planing on doing a few chorus pedal builds. I was looking at the "Zombie" (tagboard),  the "Little Angel" (tagboard) and of course the "Pork Barrel"(madbeans). I'm sure all of you have experience in one or the other. Any Suggestions? I was thinking about doing the "Current Lover" but that's a huge build...Thoughts?

Hey guys,
     I was wondering if anyone had a couple things. First I need a schematic for the MXR Carbon Copy. My old guitarist gave me his broken one to mess around with and fix. There are a few issues with it. C46 is gone, ripped out, and i need to find what the value is and what it connects to. One of the pots is gone too. The pads are ripped out. So value and connection are needed for that as well. I'll post a couple of pictures when i get home. Thanks in advance guys.
