Tech Help - Projects Page / Fatpants at 9v?
May 05, 2011, 11:41:12 AM
Would the Fatpants sound ok (or even work) at 9v as is, or would that require some circuit modification?  I only have 1 MAX1044 left, and it's going in the Plexitone!  Might be time to order some more...

Thanks!

Open Discussion / Sound Clips
May 05, 2011, 01:16:56 AM
There have been a few random requests for sound samples, so I thought I'd post some that I recorded for Madbean a while back.  I think I have a few more builds that I can add onto it soon.

Open Discussion / Good deals?
May 02, 2011, 02:05:40 AM
Anybody got some good component deals to share?
I've enjoyed the Futurlec packs http://futurlec.com/cgi-bin/search/search.cgi  (have bought the resistor pack; LED pack; and electrolytic, multilayer ceramic, and mylar capacitor packs).  Very cheap, but low on mojo!

General Questions / Cap value question
May 01, 2011, 12:56:07 PM
Sorry for the stupid question, but I have a bag of box capacitors (I think from Futurlec) that I don't know the value of.  Markings on top say: u1J100  as in [micro sign] 1J100

Are these 1 uf?

Thanks!

Open Discussion / Are you a player or builder?
April 27, 2011, 10:12:36 PM
Seems like there are a lot of people with electronics or engineering backgrounds here.  I was wondering if most of you consider yourself better axemen or solderhands?  I'm neither by trade, but I hope that my playing is at least a little better than my building after looking at my soldering work...

Tech Help - Projects Page / Boostless Boneyard
April 19, 2011, 06:16:49 PM
Hi,
I'm about to start building the Boneyard, but I have enough standalone boost pedals (thanks Madbean!), so I want to build it without the final boost section.  Can I just take the output from the Volume pot lug like in a typical pedal and leave off R8-R11 and C8-C9?  I don't really know if the LF347 needs something connected to pins 8 and 9.

Thanks!
