Excellent. I have an older version of his library. Lots of errors with the version of eagle I have. I've been updating each file manually. I'm a programmer so it's not too far out of my scope.

Hello, hopefully this is the correct place for this! I'm currently learning this whole Eagle schematic and pcb creation workflow. Was hoping for some pointers if possible. I'll attach a pic of my schematic and layout so far. I just placed the parts, I have a feeling they could be better arranged, but I'll consider this my first draft. I'm definitely open to any constructive criticism.

For reference I have been using this guide (not related to pedals at all)

I put off getting one of these for a long time, but I received it as a gift for Christmas and I have to say it has proved to be a tremendous help in soldering. I wear glasses for working at the computer and for soldering and the addition of a magnified light has made a huge difference for me. I'm getting better joints with less solder. And, I can actually see what I'm doing a lot better!

There are probably cheaper ones out there, but this is what I have:

I found that the color temperature on the stock bulb was way too cool for me, so I replaced it with this:

The replacement bulb is much better on my eyes!

I can't help you on the diode question, however you can use any led that you'd like.  The voltage matters mostly for how bright the led is, and what resistor should be used to keep it from self destructing.

You can find online calculators to help find what resistor you should use to choose the correct resistor. Hopefully that helps a bit!

I'm looking for some information about a couple of components, the 4:1 will be my first build, I've ordered the PCB and collecting the various parts

I've found a shop nearby my town and they will give me these diodes:
- 1N5819 (instead of 1N5817 indicated in the project)
- BAT43 (instead of BAT46)
...can I use them without issues?

I know that LEDs have different voltage basing on the colour: which is considered the "standard" for this pedal? RED? or can I use every colour?

Ok. Got the switch wired up so it sends a bypass signal through. No sound when I hit the switch and turn the effect on though.

Hate to tell you this, but it looks like your DPDT switch is lopsided.

It's going to be a pig of a job to straighten it up without ruining either the switch, the board, or both.

I had noticed that! The silly thing has a ridge running down the center of it. Couldn't get it to sit flush.  If I can't get it to work in an enclosure I might just scrap it and do it all over. Any recommendations on dpdt that don't have a ridge down the center?
