I second the syrupy Jesus comment.  I can imagine the sense of satisfaction after putting that together.

Yeah, Paul, Davent strikes me as a serious artist too with some of the unusual tools and techniques I've never heard of.

As for the calligraphy paint, if it were me, I'd tend to listen to Jon's (midwayfair) suggestions since he does a ton of hand painted stuff. 

Regardless of what you try, I will echo this... test your materials and technique on something expendable before you try it on the final enclosure!

I have some harder to find items on my Mouser list.   2nf film caps, 15uf electros, 392k and 422k resistors, 2.2uf non-polar electros, 390pf multi-layer caps, 1k1 resistors, H11F1 (and now some LED lenses thanks to Cody).

The spreadsheet works pretty well too.  If you forget why you bought something, you can check the spreadsheet to see what project it goes with.

My orders are coming in staggered so I can keep on top of them, otherwise I'd be buried.  I got some 3080s from Goodbuy on eBay and a bundle of 870 1/8w resistors from someone else on eBay, both coming from China.  Ordered a Taptation set from DIY Stompboxes.  I've got an order coming from Futurlec and I just placed a pretty big order with the new Tayda discount code (NUTELLA).  Meanwhile, I got some stuff from BLMS and I also bought some of the stuff tunatuk was clearing out in his 'going out of business' sale.  I've got orders going in to Smallbear and Mouser next week.  I also got some boards from 1776, JMK, Guitar PCB and aion.  Oh yeah, and Ian's Doubleganger is coming too.  I'd like to try Ben's 3PDT boards from Rullywow but I don't want to pay shipping just for those and I can't bear to order any more PCBs right now.  Plus, I still have some of Josh's left.  I think that's all.

They're out of B100k 9mm pots.  Other than that, I got all of my 1100 or so parts ordered.

Are those the recommended pots on the 3PDT boards?  Maybe it's the perspective of the photo but they look big to me.

That's a ton of resistors.  Is 1/8w ok to use in projects where I'd normally use 1/4w?

I see what you mean.  I may get the 1/8w for the switch and use 1/4w elsewhere.  Nice looking project.

Are the 2 resistors on the switch the only ones that need to be 1/8w?  Can I get away with 1/4w everywhere else?
