After many attempts, I have my first pcb etch.  According to continuity tests, the traces are in tact...despite the imperfect etch.  Hopefully I'll get to drill and populate soon.  Experienced etchers, please let me know if you see any obvious issues.

Nice tip Dave:) Hope to get my toner transfer correct and give it a shot.
BTW, there is copper on both sides of the board.  Any special considerations for double sided?

My attempt to transfer toner to the copper was unsuccessful using P'N'P.  it was close but not close enough.  I'll try magazine paper next I guess.  I'm thinking maybe it could be the type of Toner at the place.  Maybe I should try my printer at work?

Yeah.  I don't have a thermometer that isn't metal for measuring the acid.  Guess I could get the water (that i would set the container of acid in) about 20 degrees F hotter as a starting point

I was just trying out the 'import for YouTube' function.  What you're saying makes a lot of sense though. I usually use AAC when importing from a CD.  Using MP3 as a generic term:)

Good point.  Didn't consider that.  This was a file from YouTube.  I'll try one of my own mp3's.

What method do you use to heat up the feCl?

Getting ready to etch first .  I've etched enclosures with ferric chloride.  Will the copper etch quicker or slower than the aluminum?

I tested the free version of Anytune with the intro guitar lick to David Bowie's Fame and the 'Basic' audio was so bad you couldn't hear most of the lick. If I demoed the high quality of the same lick it sounded fine.  Guess it depends on the song as to how useful the free basic setting is.  FYI

Yes, and if you needed a different color, you could get Press'N'Peel Blue with inverted circuit design:)
