Hello, I was looking for an IMP (or other 1590A Klone board), anyone have one left they don't need?

How did you do that finish?  It looks brushed on.

That is boss-level work.  Great job on the graphics, enclosure finishing, and cramming those knobs in place.  Looks wonderful.

Positive thoughts going your way, man.  Cherish those guitars.

Looks awesome and great combo of effects.  Have you tried search the images using google chrome, to find the artist name and or to get higher-res versions?

That stuff is usable.  I have built dozens of pedals and even a few prototype amps with perfboard.

That gave me some serious GAS for a DFT.

Tidy and inspiring wiring.  Nice art, too.

That's a tight fit, like docking the space shuttle.

I'm old school.  I draw it and ink with a sable brush.  When I do my own art I paint with watercolor after the ink cures.  For pedals I color my scanned inks in photoshop or Procreate.  Then I resize the file to match my drilling guide.  For the final art I print on t-shirt transfer and iron it onto the before before envirotex.

Thanks!  I was so ticked when I burned that wire.  When I do the switches I'm in "hurry and play it" mode.

Here's my current setup:

All noncommercial pedals made by me.  The effect order is

Polytune Mini --> MXR Phase 90 Script Build --> EQD Talons Build --> EHX Big Muff Build --> MXR Carbon Copy --> TC Flashback Mini --> TC Corona Chorus --> 4ms Tremulus Lune Build --> Moodring Build.

I use the talons clone for most of my OD.  My amp (also built by me) is fairly clean.  I don't need two delays but I set the carbon copy at a sweet spot and adjust the flashback as needed.  Bought the corona on a lark, hardly use it.  It's mostly the talons, phaser, flashback, and now reverb (just built it).

Build Reports / Moodring Build Complete!
February 15, 2017, 07:37:33 PM
I just finished my moodring.  If you look closely you'll see an extra black wire, that's because I installed the voltage regulator backward and when I flipped it I couldn't make a great connection for V(in).  So I tapped off the resistor connection to make it work.

It's a very sweet reverb.  I modded the tone control for a flat response.  The dwell control doesn't do too much that I notice, and I had to sub a 50k trimmer because that's all I had.  I'm very happy with the build.

Artwork is by me, as usual, with envirotex on top.  I messed up the ET coating the first time and had to start over from scratch.  This is the 9th or so ET-coated pedal, first mistake I've made with the stuff.

The art is in keeping with an underwater theme I've been doing for a while.  My phaser is the only non-aquatic themed pedal, for some reason.  My original art was different and my wife (and pedal art model) recommended I go with another underwater girl.

The top:

The guts (note extra black wire across board...grr):

And sitting on the pedalboards with the others.  All of the non-commerical pedal art is by my except for the first one I ever did, which I used an Arthur Adams picture (the green tremulus lune).

I just built a moodring with the "medium" brick.  It's very nice.  The tone control really affects how the reverb "sits" related to the dry signal.  So does the pre-delay.  I can get pretty long reverb out of it and it can freak out (in a good way) at high dwell settings.  I don't have experience with the other two, but the moodring was worth the effort.
