I'm sure there's japanese schoolgirl fetishist buskers who find this pedal extremely useful.

No such thing because EVERYONE likes Japanese schoolgirls.

I kinda like that mic, even if it is a bit "Pittsburgh Steelers"

The monitors are hideous.

I wonder if they offer a steel curtain reflection filter to go with the Mic. Lol.

Agreed the monitors look aweful.

Email Henry, I bet he'd do it.

This has to be the douchiest pic I've ever seen:

Seriously,  WTF is WRONG with these people?

Yet I see people peddling their wares that aren't as well made as yours for much more...

You may not be qualified but you have experience and skill. That counts easily as much as qualifications in my book. Thankfully that was also the case in my last real job as I had no qualifications, just experience.

Agree though, people wont pay for it because they expect you to build something by hand, that's a custom one off, for the price of something mass produced and made in China in the cheapest possible way.

People are arses.

I think I've reached a point, I shall call it the Meh-Point. It's like an epiphany wrapped in lethargy. The realisation that people are arses and the fact that I've ceased caring. I wish everyone the best and all. But you know what, I just don't care any more. At some point I'll have to again. But I'm using the theory that the sale of the race car keeps me going for 10 months and if I sell the Porsche this year also, that should keep me going at least another year. During that time I can chill, make some pedals and not care about working for arseholes in a company that is intrinsically evil, or indeed having to appease demanding/awkward customers.

I feel the civilised world, society or whatever you want to call it is doomed. Greed, selfishness and corruption are rife and go unpunished. That and this generation's sense of entitlement will see it all go to hell before long.

Edit: I may have gone off on a slight tangent there...

Yet, I feel exactly the same way.
I think quite a few others on this forum do too though I do hope that I do not ever have to care again.
Those worth caring about are few and far between, may God give me the grace to tolerate the rest....

Doing the research on this project, thanks!

It's clean, quite neutral, i would say, not a bad clean tone. It gets dirtier if you turn it up past half or so, bright switch is for extra treble, nice for some settings i guess.
I think it realy needs some pedals un front, but that's not a problem for us, is it?:-)
Believe me or not, didn't open it up, yet. I'll post a pic!

Sound like what I'd want out of a solid state pedal amp!
Think those tpa3001s are pretty solid chips too!
May have to get one of these....

So, why are y'all hating on center positives?
Is this like hating on people with outie bellybuttons?
Ghod, I HATE those people.

Open Discussion / Re: How do you guys feel about the Pod?
December 28, 2014, 05:16:40 PM
I love my pod and can tell it is not the real thing if I listen closely when playing by myself,
but in a band it is usually like 98% spot on if tweaked properly and no huge pedalboard with lots of pedals to lug around.

My son's 22nd birthday yesterday, so he thought he would buy himself a present. He's a massive Avenged Sevenfold/Synyster Gates fan and decided he needed another Schecter Synyster Custom S (he already has a White one with black stripes and a black Custom with Silver stripes). S is for Sustainiac.

...and that would have been the end of the story. We'd had some difficulty getting one in time and had to cancel the original order. Just after we committed to buying one from another dealer the manager of the original dealer emailed to say they felt bad about letting us down and offering to sell us one hanging on his office wall. THE ONE SIGNED BY ALL THE BAND MEMBERS! It would have been rude to decline such a kind offer, so my credit card got whacked for another Schecter and a promise of repayment in the new year.

Not my style of guitar but they sure do look like quality pieces and perfect for your son.
Never had a sustainer so that it interesting and the fretboard inlays sure are something on the black one!
The other has signatures of his band so that is priceless, is it not?
You're a good dad!

That one serves a different purpose. Here's a vero layout for a tester, if you add another strip of vero at the top and jumper it to the "E" strip you can test any transistor pinout without having to contort the leads.

Ah yes, this is the one that had wondering if someone had ever made a little project that didn't require a dmm or any math (direct reading).
I am thinking the answer is not.
Anyone interested in such a thing?
A cheap lcd, and arduino, and a simple board with power could be whipped up without too much trouble...

Are y'all referring to this: http://www.rullywow.com/jfet-matcher-project-vgsoff/ ?
I did find the build docs with the pcb so I can etch one, THANKS!
Does anyone use an old Heathkit transistor testor such as an IM30?
I think I have one somewhere....

What chip is it using for a PA?

I think I have a spare etched board.  let me check the stack, if I do it's yours.

That is very nice, but I can etch my own boards if you can lead me to the docs.
Even the name of the project would help, I've googled up nothing!

I had to see what NRRGSMGD meant, thinking it was a keyboard spaz thing.
Could have just typed "NKAGD" instead...

Isn't there something special about the simple guitars that make them special?
I love Les Paul/SG Juniors!
That one is the right colour and looks nice.
I hope you leave the P90s in it, they work really well on those guitars.
I'd try better P90s if those don't tickle yer tush.

Used to be a Gibson guy but have turned into a Fender guy since Gibson went all "too damn cheap
to paint something properly, let's market it as something good" low quality/overpriced crap.
They still make some good, basic guitars, and a whole lot of stuff that's just plain bad or not my taste at all....
Faded?
LOL!
That's a backyard, unfilled, lazy, and just plain nasty finish and Gibson should forever be ridiculed for ever selling such a thing.
They should catch even more stinky stuff for doing it repeatedly with different names for decades....
They could have just Tru-oiled the things and said so.

Anyone have a little project to make a tester to test gain and leakage of Ge trannies?
I have a collection of trannies I'd like to test and mark for future projects and wouldn't mind
making a neat test fixture to do it with!
